TAKE WHAT
YOU NEED.
Free downloadable materials for every stage of your organizing drive. Always download on personal devices.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS POCKET CARD
NLRA Section 7 at a glance. What you can do, what they cannot do. Print, fold, keep in your pocket. Share with trusted coworkers.
ANONYMOUS ORGANIZING FLYER
Post it on bulletin boards, pass it out, or forward it digitally. No identifying info required. Designed to spark conversation without exposing anyone. This is a going-public move. Hold it until your committee decides to surface. Community boards, not the office corkboard.
WORKPLACE PETITION SHEET
A momentum tool: gather signatures around shared workplace issues (pay transparency, AI policy, crunch) before going formal. Issue-framed on purpose, so it doesn't out a drive if it leaks; adapt it to name the union once you're public. Not an NLRB authorization card. One caveat: one sheet puts every name in one place, so use it only once you're ready for those names to be seen together.
RETALIATION DOCUMENTATION FORM
If anything happens after you start organizing, document it immediately. Who, what, when, where: all in a structured format for use in an NLRB Unfair Labor Practice filing. This form is your paper trail.
AI CONTRACT CLAUSE CARD
The five AI demands (consent, compensation, credit, disclosure, no forced use), one line each. Every single one has already been won in a real US union contract. Print it, pocket it, bring it to the bargaining survey.
UNION-BUSTER INOCULATION SHEET
Management runs the same six scripts every campaign: "third party," "start from scratch," "dues will eat your raise." This sheet pairs each one with what's actually true. Read it before they say it, and the script stops working.
WORKPLACE MAPPING WORKSHEET
Organizing is a map of trust, not a list of names. Chart who trusts whom, rate support honestly, update after every conversation. Paper only: this never touches a work device.
LATE-PAYMENT DEMAND LETTER
For freelancers. A client owes you money and a statute does the threatening for you: NY's Freelance Isn't Free Act means double damages plus attorney's fees, with bracketed alternates for CA and IL. Fill in the blanks, send from a personal email, keep a copy.
UNION AUTHORIZATION CARD
Talk to a union BEFORE anyone signs a card. This template is only for an independent union that has already chosen its name. If you affiliate, you'll use THEIR card. Don't print this in week one: cards come after your committee, your map, and two structure tests. Fill in the union name before anyone signs; date every card.
USE THESE SAFELY
Download and print on personal devices, never company printers or computers
Authorization cards are confidential: store them securely, never in company systems
The flyer can be posted on community/public bulletin boards (not employer boards) and shared during non-work time in non-work areas
